My name is Linda Mier and I am the owner of Finely Finished Quilts. My love of "all things quilt" has been evolving over many years. A few years ago I made the ultimate commitment, I bought my first long arm machine. It didn't take long for me to see that I was not a natural and I needed to buy many bolts of muslin! I practiced and practiced but I wasn't getting the results I wanted. In the process of practicing I accumulated many gadgets that I was sure would help me get results. Then I heard about Quilt-EZ templates. I was skeptical at first, but after much research, I was hopeful. I purchased some designs, it was truly the beginning of my business. My first afternoon with the templates I was able to produce beautiful clam shells, then I tried the baptist fan, same results, just gorgeous. The templates gave me the confidence that I could start my business as I planned, doing edge to edge designs, then add custom work. With my new found confidence I was able to finish all of my own UFO's, I was very proud of my work! I continue to practice my freehand work, now that I know I can quilt beautiful tops, I'm more relaxed when I practice. I think I will always be a work in progress!

I live in Minnesota with my husband, Whitey (he's a natural platinum blonde, ladies, alas the nickname) and our two delightfully aging dogs. My daughter, her husband and my 2 adorable granddaughters live just down the road. I have always wanted to own a business, and be the free spirit that I am. My husband is retired now, so when the opportunity to sell these templates came my way, I jumped on it and I'm very glad that I did. I'm in daily contact with the best people around, Quilters, how could that be anything but great! We have this website, we attend most of the larger quilt shows with our templates and I'm happy to do presentations at quilt guilds.
